DJ 3000

If you ask most producers and DJ's about their musical upbringing, most, if not all, will point to the influence of their parents and their relatives. DJ 3000 is no different. Born and raised in the Detroit enclave of Hamtramck, DJ 3000 was inundated with both the sights and sounds of his neighborhood, a highly ethnic area of Detroit, as well as with the influence of the music of his parent's native Albanian background. This diverse collection of influence shaped the make-up of both DJ 3000 and the vision of the Motech Records label.

* Part of the official Underground Resistance DJ ensemble * remix appearing on new Underground Resistance "Tokem" release * remix credit for legendary group Depeche Mode * has released 5 mix cds, most recently "Detroit Connection Pt.2" which appeared on Matrix Music * upcoming remix project for Kyoto Jazz Massive's DJ Kawasaki * upcoming remix project for Detroit Grand Pubahs * regularly appears at major clubs including London's Fabric, Barcelona's Nitsa and many of Japan's top clubs. * combines a unique blend of ethnic influenced electronic music * created a roster of artists from around the globe to contribute to his Motech imprint.
