Alex Cortex is on the forefront of German techno since the mid-nineties, having produced some of the most unique techno on various classic imprints, like Kanzleramt, Klang Elektronik, Baby Fords PAL SL, Out To Lunch, Source Records, and Ann Aimee. His productions range from driving techno to soulful ambient-electronica, showing a musicality only few are capable of.

He has an ongoing production collaboration with Lopazz with releases on labels like Get Physical, Output, and Pomelo. From 2007 on Alex had a two year stint at Platzhirsch and Kahlwild and joined the Pomelo label, where he has been continuously releasing 12"s to great success. New on Pomelo Records is "Unshell", a 12" which has been receiving support by the likes of Brendon Moeller, Axel Bomann, John Selway, Marco Bernardi, Lawrence and many more, - to be followed by his third full-length later this year 2011.

Alex started producing in 1993 and has been DJing and playing live-gigs since 1996 in many places, touring in Germany, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Netherlands, Spain, UK, and Mexico. Alex Cortex is available for DJ - and Live Sets!
